THE BUILDING DEPT.S REGULATION REQUIRES THAT THE PLAN SHOW WHERE THE SAFETY BARRIER WILL BE LOCATED TOGETHER WITH THE GATES. THE GATES MUST SWING OUTWARD AND BE SELF LATCHING. ADDITIONALLY, DOORS AND WINDOWS ON THE HOME MUST ALSO BE SHOWN ON PLAN AND IF THEY HAVE "GLASS" AND ARE WITHIN 5'-0" OF THE POOL THE "GLASS MUST BE MADE OF TEMPERED GLASS.
