    • a.) Delegating the responsibility for what is to be built on price?

OR…

  • b.) Defining the absolutes in the price 1st and then getting a price on that exhibit of like-mindedness?

If you picked “B” well then, we’re happy that you’ve found us and you’ll have a much greater chance at getting what you’ve imagined by allowing us to participate in planning for that dream!

Establishing Standards…

The swimming pool industry doesn’t identify what should universally be the standards for building an In-Ground Spa.

That’s the bad news! The Good News is…that you have found the best resource for putting together a STRONG set of PLANS and SPECIFICATIONS so, that your expectation can become realized.

Planning for the details…

Designing Your Custom In-Ground Spa

Custom In-ground Spas can be designed with ALL your desires in mind. The type of jets, the level of water / air stream intensity and the locations for delivering the soothing and tranquil effects of a relaxing and therapeutic action are precisely what our approach to planning can provide.

Absent a clear definition for what your expectations are can leave too much up for interpretation for what ends up getting accomplished. Our planning efforts will run through the possibilities for what those desires are and clearly and concisely prescribe the mechanical assemblies that will make that dream possible!

Selecting A Spa Shape…

Spas can be made to fit almost any shape but, if one of our A thru H exhibited shapes below strike your fancy, please identify the LETTER symbol and respond on the form below.

Selecting The Right Equipment…

The correct pumps, filter, heater, automation control system, air blower, and jet conformity are as crucial to good planning as the right piping sizing! All of these shall collaborate in being able to deliver upon your expectations and they will need to be planned for if your expectations are assuredly to become realized.

A cubic foot of water is the equivalent of 7.48 U.S. Gallons of water. So...as an example, a 8'-0" x 8'-0" (50-SF) round spa with a max depth of -36" and continuous -18" seating conformity would have and avg. depth of -27" and could hold 112.50 CF x 7.48 = 840 Gallons. Therefore the spa depth shouldn't exceed -36" max.
This "Option" involves delivering the heated water to the bottom of the spa, rather than through the jets. The benefit is that the spa can heat up faster!
An air blower "Option" forces air through the venturi style jets, providing more air / water turbulence.
Auto-fill devices will need a main water source supply line and a backflow prevention unit.
If it is a stand alone spa, then it will need to have an independent overflow line that drains into the yard drainage. If it's connect to a pool, then typically the spillway will act as the overflow.
When completed...please provide us with a property "Plot Plan" that shows the officially recognized property line dimensions. It is important to indicate the location of the service utilities (Gas, Electric, Water, Telephone / Cable, Sewer, etc..) Additionally, site photos are most helpful. These can be in jpg or pdf format. EMAIL TO: mike@epoolscapes.com Thank You, Michael Chaffee
